Pinterest for Paradise Graphix

A good friend of mine had told me about this website (www.pinterest.com.) At first I was kind of skeptical about it.  My main reason for skepticism was the idea that this probably wasn’t great for copyright infringement if people are able to just share your pictures everywhere.  The more I looked into it though, the more I realized that this site actually has some great advantages. 

From this site you must request to be invited, once they make sure you are not some spam crazy robot, they send an invite to your email. When you get the email you have to either connect with them through your Facebook, or through twitter; also reducing the risk of spam.  Now, while that doesn’t neccesarily prevent copyright infringement, they have something that attempts to do just that.  When you pin things to your boards… you pin them directly from the website you find them from.  So, when I go to add pics of vehicle wraps, I do it directly from the source.  Pinterest then takes the picture from whatever site you are looking at, Pins it to your board, and cites the source it was from.  So if I took one specific picture it would say picture via paradisegraphix.com with a link directly to our website.  This also happens if someone “repins” or shares your post.  So no matter how many people look at it or share it, the picture will always link directly back to our website.  Not bad. 

With all that said, I have created a pinterest account for the company, it is linked through our twitter which is @paradisewraps.  The account name is under Scot Reedy.  I am pinning everything from wall art, to our favorite vehicle wraps; Also, interesting pics from other sites.  If this is something that interests you, check it out!
