It is no secret that most of our vehicle wraps are done using 3M material and laminate. 3M does state that their graphics films “resist mild alkalis, mild acids, and salt” however that does not mean that it is a complete protection. You will want to take some steps to insure that your vehicle wrap stays looking it’s best for many years to come.
Remove salt from anywhere that rust can normally accumulate. The rust can cause issues with wrap adhesion wether you already have a wrap, or are thinking about wrapping in the future.
Do not let salt build up- this can cause issues in the long run. While vinyl might temporarily act as a layer of protection from the salt to your paint, it can still cause long term damage.
Don’t scrape the surface. This will for a fact damage your wrap, and sometimes the paint undernearth. We recommend using a brush or a rag to wipe the snow off.
