When it comes to designing your Vehicle Wrap many factors come into play. The size and shape of the vehicle itself can determine how much information the wrap will be allowed to convey. For instance; a box truck has a huge empty canvas that can be filled with plenty of information and large pictures; however a smaller vehicle like a fiat, mini cooper, or hhr may not have room for an entire list of services. This is where a good eye for design; and a knowledge of vehicles comes into play.
What many designers don’t understand when it comes to designing a vehicle wrap; is the nature of the vehicle itself. Many designers are used to designing for flat surfaces; that allow you to have free room to roam as far as the design is concerned. With a vehicle however; it is important to design around door handles, lights, and other fixtures of the vehicle; that you do not want your design falling into. With that being said; if your designer recommends that you move something elsewhere that you think looks good; or if they suggest taking something off all together; it is for good reason! Sometime less is more when it comes to information on your vehicle wrap!
For your business to get your point across; you will want the basics on who you are (your logo/ branding/ name) and the best way to contact you (be it online or by phone.) Sometimes less is more!
Keep this in mind when talking with your designer about your next vehicle wrap!
