Occasionally; dealerships will get a vehicle that already has a wrap on it; and they will sell it off the lot that way. While a color change wrap vehicle may be okay to buy this way; especially if you like the color; an advertising wrap may not be a great idea. Let's say you buy a food truck that you intend to use as your companies food truck. The only problem with the truck is; it is wrapped in the other companies information. Naturally, that information will have to be removed; and replaced with your companies information, logos, etc.
Wrap removal is the only service that we DO NOT include in the price of your vehicle wrap. On top of that; it is very hard to determine how long a wrap removal will take. When a wrap is installed at a shop outside of ours; we have no idea what practices or materials they use to install their wraps. Also; wraps installed out of state that see harsher weather conditions; tend to not be as easy to remove. Wrap removal is charged at our hourly shop rate.
The best that we can do with removal; is give our customers our "best guess" as to how long the removal will take (after we see the wrap in person.) After we reach that amount of time; we can give you a call and let you know where we are at; and what it will take from there to finish it.
Wraps can be removed by the purchaser; however it may become tedious and time consuming. My best advice would be to ask questions. See if you can find out how long the wrap has been on the vehicle. Where the wrap was installed; what type of materials that shop used. Bring those answers to us; and we can help you determine if this is the vehicle for you. You may be getting a deal on the car; but if you have to spend what you saved on the wrap removal; it may not be worth it!
