  If you want to be in the vehicle wrap business; a large format printer is necessary.  That is simple enough… right? Wrong! There are many different brands and types of printers that can be used for large format graphic printing.  Some are banded and some, like the one we use, use a print head.  

    The printer we use at Paradise Graphix is the Mutoh ValueJet 1614.  There are multiple different reasons why we chose this printer over any other large format printer out there.  With a Mutoh ValueJet printer we are able to print spectacular images with eco-solvent ink.  Eco Solvent Ink allows us to print bright, vivid prints without releasing harmful VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) into the workplace environment.  Eco Ultra Ink features scratch resistance under the most rigorous conditions.  This ink produces prints with a 3 year outdoor durability without lamination, and a 5 to 7 year durability with lamination. 

  The ValueJet is capable of print speeds up to 183 sq. ft. per hour in production mode with a maximum media width of 64”.  It prints an average of 55% faster than its two closest competitors.  The ValueJet also has a single state-of-the-art 1440 dpi piezo print head allowing for high resolution 6 color output.  One other unique quality is Mutoh’s 3 heater design offers a real advantage over the competitions 2 heaters by speeding up the drying time. 

  One last thing to remember is that just because a company owns a large format printer doesn’t mean that they really know how to use it.  At Paradise Graphix we know how to properly profile and we also know how to calibrate our monitors so we can control the output of our colors.  At the end of the day, we know that our printer is the single most important piece of equipment we use.  We take care of our printer; which in turn makes the quality of what we provide to you the highest it can be.
