Tis the season... right?

  Every year it seems stores are putting up their Christmas displays earlier and earlier.  I don’t know about you, but whenever I walk into a store and see those bright lights and shiny decorations, I want to buy everything.  I think to myself for a brief second “It is too early for this.  It’s only the day after Halloween.”  That thought swiftly fades from my mind at the sight of yet another light display.  I buy my decorations; and walk out the door.

   At home my mother was already taking down pictures and replacing them with season appropriate ones.  She even had our fish tank decked out with a plastic Christmas tree and red and green aquarium gravel.   Lights and other Christmas novelties were being placed carefully throughout the house.  My little sister was almost to the point of hyperventilating about her pink Christmas tree she had up in her room.    Not everyone in the house was as excited as we were about decorating.  My grandma came downstairs and started complaining about how it is far too early for Christmas decorations.  She believes that the Christmas tree should not be put up until Thanksgiving.  As I sat hoping and praying that this didn’t turn into world war 3 the war on decorations, I started wondering how many other houses have this problem…
