We have had far too many customers come to us after they have had a wrap installed at one of our competition's locations; and ask if the product they recieved was acceptable. 9 times out of 10 our answer will be no, it isn't.
Wrinkles are a result of poorly installed vinyl. It is relatively simple to catch a wrinkle before it is permanant; therefore they shouldnt happen!
Bubbles can happen from time to time; smaller air bubbles will go away (usually after a few days of being in the sun.) We heat set our vehicles before they leave to make sure that most of the small bubbles are alread out for our customers. Larger pockets of air are common only when the vehicle has damage to the paint or rust. If there is a large pocket of air on your wrap that isn't the result of bad paint; then you have a serious problem!
Seams... this is a tricky one... Not all seams are unacceptable. Some larger vehicles require a seam in order for the wrap to be placed right. There is a difference between a good seam (one that you really have to look for to tell it is there); And a vehicle wrap that is patched together. There are too many companies in our area that not only treat a wrap like patch work; but are proud of it as well! This goes to show that not very much thought is put into your wrap before it is installed. It takes measurements and calculations to make sure everything will look the best it possibly can! So; if your vehicle wrap is full of uneven- patched in seams; you will know that you have another issue!
One last thing I want to touch on is cuts. Just yesterday we had a customer come in with his BMW that he had wrapped at one of our local competion's shops. All they had to do was wrap the mirrors and roof; and they blew it. We have pictures of where this customer's BMW was cut into; the paint is chipped in a few spots; and the rubber seals around the window are cut into. How can the industry promote the fact that a wrap can protect the paint on your vehicle; if we have companies that are ruining the paint on simple installs? Not only did they cut into this man's BMW; but then nickle and dimed him on his receipt. They gave him a price that in the end turned out to be way more than he expected. They went so far as to add "shop supplies" on what he owed at the end. At Paradise Graphix you are charged one price. If we find out later that an additional charge will be needed (usually only happens if a previous wrap needs taken off; and we weren't made aware of it in the beginning) we will contact our customers before any decisions are made! Our customers come first!
This should give you something to think about before you make your decision to go with a company that promotes false promises!
